What is REACH?
REACH is the new European chemicals legislation concerning the registration, evaluation and authorisation of chemicals. The regulation replaces several laws regarding chemicals and better reflects other environmental/safety legislation. REACH was phased in on 1st June 2007. The legislation requires the manufacturer, supplier, distributor and end user to take joint responsibility.

Which substances?
Nearly all chemical substances that are manufactured in or imported into the European Union in quantities of over one tonne a year must be registered.
Who does REACH apply to?
The regulation can be applicable to nearly everyone working with chemicals, from manufacturer to end user, including:
- Manufacturers or importers of chemicals or mixtures of chemicals within the European Union.
- Downstream users who process chemicals and/or who mix preparations (mixtures) for end use
What is Priema’s role?
- Establishing Priema’s role (downstream user)
- Passing on the applications of raw materials to our suppliers
- Obtaining information about the application of our products at customers.
